Orvieto is surrounded by a pedestrian path that connects to the ring a series of sites of interest that are part of PAAO (Archaeological Park of Orvieto) whose main entrance is located at Palazzo Crispo in Piazza Marconi.
The path traces the perimeter of the tufa massif on which the city stands, admiring the exciting views of the surrounding valleys and crossing the vast archaeological park of the Etruscan necropolis of the Crocifisso del Tufo or the spectacular Cave of fossil trunks with paleobotanical remains dating back to 350 thousand years ago.
The path is a succession of more or less steep ups and downs that outline the perimeter of the tufa massif on which the beautiful Umbrian town rests. In the path there are different entries depending on where you leave.
